J & B and Sprite Cocktail

Timelessness meets simplicity in this easy-to-make cocktail recipe. Made with scotch and fizzy lemon soda, this recipe creates a harmonious balance that has a citrusy flavour and fizzy mouthfeel. Ideal to make for quick service during gatherings, garnish the drink with a wedge of lemon to enhance the zesty aroma.

  • J & B Rare Blended Scotch Whisky
    45ml
  • Sprite
    100ml
  • Lime wedge, for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Step 1

    Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.

  2. Step 2

    Pour in the blended scotch whisky using a cocktail jigger.

  3. Step 3

    Top up with Sprite and stir gently with a bar spoon to combine the mixture

  4. Step 4

    Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.

Tips & Suggestions

  • Chill the cocktail ingredients and the glass for a crisp, clean flavour. Stir the mixture gently so that it does not lose its fizz.

  • Use big ice cubes instead of crushed ice to reduce rapid dilution.

Classic mixers like water, ice, soda water, citrus mixers like lemonade, orange juice, and cocktail components like sweet vermouth can be used. Some less common mixers, like iced tea and coconut water, can also be added. 

The main rules of Scotch whisky are- it should be produced and matured in Scotland, only water, barley and whole cereal grains should be used. 

Only 10% of Scotch whisky are single malt. The other 90% are made using different whisky.
