The Long Shot Cocktail Recipe
Subtly sweet, bursting with fresh mint and citrus and based on delicious, vanilla-wood flavoured Bourbon plus pale ale, The Long Shot is the ideal cocktail recipe to partner great sport.
What you’ll need
Ingredients
- 25ml
- Lemon Juice12ml
- Sugar Syrup tbsp2
- Mint sprig twist dash1
- Pale Ale splash sprinkle sprig twist dash1
Method
Ice
Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker.
Pour
Using a jigger, measure 25ml Bourbon, 12.5ml lemon juice and 2 tbsp sugar syrup into the shaker.
Mix
Shake the mixture until the surface of the cocktail shaker feels chilled. Strain with a cocktail strainer into a Tankard over ice cubes. Add Pale Ale to the drink until it reaches the top of the glass.
Garnish
Place a sprig of mint on top of the drink to garnish.
Step 5
Get some grub in before or while you’re drinking – it slows alcohol absorption.
