A visually appealing concoction with a rosy blush hue, this gin cocktail celebrates the sophisticated profiles of the spirit. Every sip of this drink is a fusion of sweetness and tartness with a hint of bitterness and a fruity aftertaste.

  • Pink gin
    30ml
  • Fresh lemon juice
    20ml
  • Elderflower cordial
    15ml
  • Ice cubes
  • Soda water (to top)
  • Edible flower or citrus peel (optional garnish)

Method

  1. Step 1

    Mix pink gin, lemon juice, and elderflower cordial in a shaker to establish the central flavour profile.

  2. Step 2

    Fill the shaker with ice cubes copiously to cool the liquid sufficiently without over-dilution during shaking.

  3. Step 3

    Shake vigorously for approximately 10 seconds to air and mix all ingredients together into a perfectly integrated cold base.

  4. Step 4

    Strain into a chilled glass, add soda water, and garnish with flower or citrus peel if preferred; serve immediately.

  • Use a pink gin with botanicals such as rose, grapefruit, or rhubarb; it amplifies the cocktail's natural blush hue and constructs a more layered profile.

  • Build the cocktail in the glass without shaking or stirring; it maintains clarity, carbonation, and avoids over-dilution.
