The Russian Iced Tea by Emma Sherwood-Smith

A zesty, cooling serve of vodka, lemon iced tea and apple juice. The Russian Iced Tea is made in a teapot for a twist on the traditional serve.

What you’ll need

Ingredients

Serves:
1
3.6 units of alcohol per serving

Equipment

  • 1 x Tea Cup
  • 1 x Tea Pot
  • 1 x Knife
  • 1 x Bar Spoon
  • 1 x Jigger
  • 1 x Chopping Board
  • 1 x Ice

Method

Ice

Half fill a teapot with cubes of ice.

Pour

Using a jigger, pour 100ml vodka, 200ml lemon iced tea and 200ml apple juice into the teapot.

Mix

Stir the mixture with a bar spoon until well combined. Pour the drink carefully into two teacups over ice. (This drink is best shared with friends)

Garnish

With a sharp knife and cutting board, slice a wedge of lemon, and place in the drink. Add a sprig of mint against the rim of the cup to garnish.

Step 5

Get some grub in before or while you’re drinking – it slows alcohol absorption.
