Spiced Mojito Cocktail Recipe
A blend of rum, mint, lime and soda, this recipe offers a twist on the classic Cuban cocktail, adding a subtle spice thanks to Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold.
What you’ll need
Ingredients
- Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold50ml
- Soda Water100ml
- Sugar Syrup25ml
- Lime Wedge wedge2
- Mint Leaves7
- Mint Sprig1
Method
Step 1
Add the sugar syrup, mint leaves and lime wedges to a Collins glass. Then, using a muddler, rolling pin or large spoon, press down on them lightly to extract the aroma and flavour.
Step 2
Half-fill your glass with crushed ice.
Step 3
Using a jigger, measure 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold into the glass and top with soda water. Stir with a bar spoon.
Garnish
Add more crushed ice to fill the glass and place a mint sprig on top of the drink to garnish.
Step 5
Get some grub in before or while you’re drinking – it slows alcohol absorption.
