Created by bartender Don Javier Delgado Corona, the Paloma is considered by many Mexicans to be their native cocktail, even above the more internationally known Margarita.

Corona has invented a drink that is essentially a long, fruity Margarita. Inevitably with the local spirit close at hand there are bound to be ever-increasing renditions of the Margarita.




  • 50mlBlanco Tequila

  • 25mlGrapefruit Juice

  • 25mlFresh Lime Juice

  • 17mlSugar Syrup

  • 25mlSoda Water

  • 1wedge(s)Lime

2 units of alcohol per serve


  • 1 x Tall glass

  • 1 x Ice

  • 1 x Jigger

  • 1 x Knife

  • 1 x Chopping Board


  • Ice

    Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.

  • Pour

    Using a jigger, measure 50ml Blanco Tequila, 25ml grapefruit juice, 25ml fresh lime juice and 17.5ml simple syrup into the glass.

  • Mix

    Top with 25ml soda water.

  • Garnish

    With a sharp knife cut a wedge of lime on a chopping board, and place on top of the drink to garnish.

  • Grab a bite

    Get some grub in before or while you’re drinking – it slows alcohol absorption.
