  • Cointreau
    15ml
  • Fresh lime juice
    25ml
  • Sugar syrup
    15ml
  • Dashes of Tabasco

  • Lime wheel

  • Lime wedge
    1
  • Salt
  • Ice
2.7 units of alcohol per serving

Equipment

  • Rocks glass
  • Jigger
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer

Method

Step 1

Rum a lime wedge along the rim of the glass, then roll the rim in salt to coat.

Step 2

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, sugar syrup and Tabasco.

Step 3

Shake vigorously until the surface feels cold, and strain into the rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
