What you’ll need

  • Don Julio Blanco Tequila
    Don Julio Blanco Tequila, 70cl
    1.5oz
  • Honey syrup
    0.75oz
  • Fresh lime juice
    0.75oz
  • Teaspoon of Ground Turmeric (half)
    0.5
  • Teaspoon of Sea Salt (half)
    0.5
  • Ice
2 units of alcohol per serving

  • Rocks glass
  • Jigger
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer
  • Spoon

Method

Prepare

Combine turmeric and salt on a plate and then rim a rocks glass with the combination.  Top tip: adding a rim to the glass is easier if you first wet the area by rolling it in lemon juice. 

Shake

Add ground turmeric, honey syrup, tequila and lime juice in a shaker, and shake over ice. 

Pour

After a vigorous shake - around 10-15 seconds - strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
