A punchy blend of bitters, whisky and orange, the key to a brilliant Old Fashioned is a great quality Scotch.

  • Bourbon
    2oz
  • Sugar syrup
    0.25oz
  • 2 dashes of Bitters
  • Orange peel
    0oz
  • Ice
2.4 units of alcohol per serving

Equipment

  • Rocks glass
  • Jigger
  • Stirrer
  • Knife
  • Chopping board

Method

Step 1

Using a jigger, combine all ingredients to the rocks glass. Add ice.

Step 2

Stir gently.

Step 3

Using the knife, cut a slice of orange peel.

Step 4

Zest the orange peel over the glass and then add the peel to the drink for garnish.
