This simple yet eye-catching drink combines vodka with curaçao liqueur and lemonade, producing a distinctive blue hue. Traditionally served over crushed ice in a tall or hurricane glass and garnished with a citrus slice and cherry, the Blue Lagoon is a timeless choice for anyone who enjoys a visually impressive and easy-to-mix mixed drink.

    Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka, 1L
    30ml
  • Blue curaçao liqueur
    30ml
  • Fresh lime juice
    10ml
  • Lemonade
    To top up
  • Lemon wheel
    1
  • Maraschino cherry
    1
  • Crushed ice

Equipment

  • Highball or hurricane glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Skewer

Method

Clear liquid is poured from a jigger into a tall glass.

Step 1

Add the vodka to the glass

A jigger pours blue liquid into a tall glass.

Step 2

Next add the curaçao liqueur and lime juice

Crushed ice is dropped into a hurricane glass using a wooden scoop

Step 3

Fill the glass with crushed ice

Liquid is poured into a Blue Lagoon cocktail

Step 4

Churn the mixture with a bar spoon, then top up with lemonade
