155 Belmont Cocktail

Classic Cocktails
Author: Yash Lakhan
A tall glass of orange cocktail with ice, garnished with a dried pineapple slice and herbs, sits on a wooden surface against a green leafy background with pink flowers.

The 155 Belmont cocktail is a bright, multi-spirited drink with an assertive yet fruity flavour. Distinguished by its combination of multiple liquors, it is balanced by the sweetness of orange juice, making it a popular choice for people looking for a potent but approachable drink. Uniquely, carrot is used as garnish for this drink, either as a ribbon or simply as a stick.

Tips & Suggestions

  • Freeze serving ice cubes with a thin strip of orange zest embedded inside. As the ice melts, it gradually releases faint orange oils into the beverage.

  • To create an unexpected savoury-spicy contrast, lightly moisten a section of the outer rim and dip in a mixture of fine sea salt and ground ginger.
