  • Gin
    30ml
  • Grenadine
    10ml
  • Chilled cranberry juice
    120ml
  • Ice cubes
    For serving
  • Lime wedge
    For garnish

Method

  1. Step 1

    Thoroughly chill a highball glass before use and fill it up with fresh ice cubes.

  2. Step 2

    Pour the gin and grenadine in followed by chilled cranberry juice.

  3. Step 3

    To combine the ingredients, carefully stir them for 10-15 seconds with a bar spoon.

  4. Step 4

    Garnish with a lime wheel, either on the rim or dropped into the drink. Serve immediately.

Tips & Suggestions

  • For a more complex tartness, soak a few dried hibiscus petals or a short strip of orange peel (minus the pith) in chilled cranberry juice for 15-20 minutes before straining.

  • Briefly press a thin sprig of rosemary between your palms before dropping it into the highball glass with ice for its delicate, resinous aroma to elevate the gin and cranberry.
