Sweet, Creamy, And Cool Coffee-Based Cocktails With Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur For The Summer Season

Introduction
When it comes to summer cocktails, the cooler the better – and there’s no science or mystery behind it. It’s why even coffee beverages and desserts take on a cold touch, be it the ice-cream-based affogato or the classic cold coffee. This summer, try the classics with a simple twist, the addition of a cream liqueur.
Cream liqueurs lend a richness to drinks without turning the structure heavy or dense. Try it for yourself with these recipes for coffee-based summer cocktails. These drinks score high on taste, presentation, and seasonal fit.
The following recipes use Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur. However, you can swap that with another cream liqueur, as per your personal preference. You can also add a sweetener, if required, to adjust the taste of the drink.

Baileys Iced Coffee (& Ice Cream)
The addition of creamy liqueur to chilled coffee and delicious ice cream makes this a combination of familiar textures and new flavours – you get the signature chocolate-caramel-vanilla flavour with a hint of whiskey. It’s here that cocktail meets dessert.
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
50 ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
70 ml Fresh (cooled) Americano
30 ml Milk
20 ml Double cream
Equipment:
1 Latte Glass
1 Ice Scoop
1 Jigger
1 Bar Spoon
1 Ice Cream Scoop
Method:
Dry shake the liqueur, milk and cream.
Pour over cooled coffee.
Treat up your serve: If you want to upgrade the iced coffee experience for your guests, garnish with a mini waffle and a broken flake.

Baileys Iced Coffee
The classic iced coffee uses espresso or cold brew, mixed with sweetener and milk, poured over a full glass of ice. That’s the start of this cocktail recipe. Once you have the perfect glass ready, all you need is a slow, gentle stir of liqueur. You can customise the recipe further by adding two shots of espresso instead of one or using condensed milk (for a sweeter touch).
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
50 ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
100 ml Cooled Coffee
Equipment:
1 Latte Glass
1 Ice Scoop
1 Jigger
1 Bar Spoon
Method:
Build in an ice-filled latte glass.
Stir gently to combine.

Baileys Shakerato
With Shakerato in the name, it goes without saying that this coffee-based cocktail requires a good shake. But little else. This cocktail only uses espresso and cream liqueur — shaking blends the two into a seamlessly layered drink with an aromatic coolness; the velvety texture of the liqueur effortlessly carries the multi-flavoured notes of vanilla and coffee, among others.
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
50 ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
25 ml Espresso
Chocolate Powder (Garnish)
Equipment:
1 Martini cocktail glass
1 Ice Scoop
1 Jigger
1 Cocktail Shaker
1 Hawthorne Strainer
1 Fine Strainer
Method:
Shake all the liquid ingredients with ice.
Fine strain into a chilled Martini cocktail glass.
Garnish with chocolate powder.

Baileys Flat White Martini
If Shakerato was about perfecting the blend, this one is all about the frothy finish. The drink borrows from the classic Espresso Martini cocktail, but the addition of the cream liqueur alters its colour, texture, and flavour into a smoother, creamier drink with a coffee kick and hints of vanilla.
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
45 ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
15 ml Smirnoff
25 ml Espresso
3 Coffee Beans (Garnish)
Equipment:
1 Martini cocktail glass
1 Ice Scoop
1 Jigger
1 Cocktail Shaker
1 Hawthorne Strainer
1 Fine Strainer
1 Bar Spoon
Method:
Shake all the liquid ingredients with Ice.
Fine strain into a chilled Martini cocktail glass.
Garnish with three coffee beans.

Baileys Affogato
Here, the ice cream is cold, the coffee is strong, and the cream liqueur is the smooth, velvety thread that ties the whole thing together. This one’s as much a dessert as it is a cocktail.
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
60 ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
100 ml Fresh Espresso
1 Scoop of good-quality vanilla ice cream
Equipment:
1 Latte Glass
1 Jigger
Method:
Place the ice cream in the centre of the glass.
Pour over the espresso.
Pour over the cream liqueur and serve.
Treat up your serve: Pour your liqueur and coffee together over flavoured ice cream with some chocolate shavings. Or hide the ice cream inside a chocolate sphere for a more theatrical presentation.
