Tom Collins

Gin botanicals, citrus fruit sweetness and a touch of sourness, bubbled up with soda water – the Tom Collins is one of the simplest long drinks. It's *such* a classic that it’s had a glass named after it.

2 units of alcohol per serve

1

  • 50mlGin

  • 20mlSugar syrup

  • 25mlLemon juice

  • 1 x Stirrer

Method

  • Step 1

Fill the collins glass with ice.

  • Step 2

Measuring with the jigger, add the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup to the glass.

  • Step 3

Top up with a splash of soda water.

Using a knife, cut a wedge of lemon and place on top to garnish.

  • Grab a bite

Get some grub in before or while you’re drinking – it slows alcohol absorption.
