Unlike most Whisky Sour recipes, Ervin Trykowski's Whisky Sours aren't made with bourbon, so we do not add the letter 'e' in whisk(e)y. Instead expect sour, salty, spicy flavours in this cocktail.

  • Talisker Single Malt Scotch
    Talisker 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch, 70cl
    50ml
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice
    25ml
  • Simple syrup
  • Egg white (optional)
    1
  • Cubes of ice
  • Cherry or lemon peel
    1

Equipment

  • 1 x Rocks glass
  • 1 x Ice
  • 1 x Jigger
  • 1 x Cocktail shaker

Method

Pour

Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Add the whisky, lemon juice, and simple syrup.

Mix

Shake well. Strain into a chilled rocks glass.   

Garnish

Garnish with a cherry or lemon peel. And enjoy!
