Corpse Reviver (or Corpse Reviver No.2)

This drink was invented back in the 1930s by Harry Craddock for The Savoy Cocktail Book. This cocktail is a hit thanks to the combination of four different types of spirits.   

The Corpse Reviver No.2

Ingredients

  • 22mlLondon Dry Gin

  • 22mlOrange flavoured liqueur

  • 22mlLillet Blanc

  • 22mlLemon juice

  • 3mlSugar syrup

  • 2dashesAbsinthe

  • 4Ice

  • 1eaLemon peel

2 units of alcohol per serve

Equipment

  • Coupe glass

  • Shaker

  • Strainer

  • Jigger

Method

  • Add

    Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.

  • Shake & Serve

    Shake in a cocktail shaker, and strain over a coupe.

    Garnish with a lemon peel.

  • 1:1 Simple syrup recipe

    Stir 1 part white sugar to 1 part warm or boiling water until the sugar is dissolved. Cool before use.
