Tequila-based mojito cocktail on a table.

Mexico meets Cuba in this twist on the classic Mojito! Smooth and delicious, this recipe swaps rum for tequila, together with mint, lime, sugar and soda.

What you’ll need

Ingredients

Serves:
1
1 unit of alcohol per serving

Equipment

  • Highball glass
  • Jigger
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Muddler
  • Strainer
  • Chopping board
  • Knife

Method

Step 1

Press down on 9 mint leaves in a cocktail shaker using a muddler to extract juices and flavour.

Step 2

Using a jigger, measure 25ml Blanco Tequila, 50ml lime juice, 10ml lemon juice and 50ml water into the shaker. Add ice cubes.

Step 3

Shake the mixture vigorously until the surface of the cocktail shaker feels chilled. Fill a tall glass with crushed ice. Strain the mixture into the glass with a cocktail strainer.

Step 4

Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a wedge of lime.

Grab a bite

Get some grub in before or while you’re drinking – it slows alcohol absorption.
