Low & No Alcohol
Author: The Bar Team & Christie Knight
Two Tom Collins cocktails sit on a kitchen counter, in highball glasses with lots of ice and lemon wedges.

Because everyone deserves to enjoy precious moments, regardless of whether they are drinking or not.

We tapped up Christie Knight, non-alcoholic enthusiast, for her top 3 favourite non-alcoholic 'gin' tipples that are easy to recreate at home. Let's explore.

01.

Elderflower Spritz

A toast-worthy tasty long drink made for any occasion.

INGREDIENTS

40ml Tanqueray 0.0%

15ml elderflower cordial

Fever-Tree White Grape & Apricot Soda

Ice – lots of it!

GARNISH

Fresh mint sprig

METHOD

Add 40ml Tanqueray 0.0% to a wine glass with 15ml elderflower cordial. Fill your wine glass with ice before topping your cocktail with deliciously balanced Fever-Tree White Grape & Apricot Soda. Give it a gentle stir and garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

TIP: The more ice in your spritz, the longer your drink will stay chilled. The less ice, the quicker it will dilute. So, make sure you’ve got plenty in there!

METHOD

Add 50ml Tanqueray 0.0% to your shaker, along with 30ml fresh lemon juice and 15ml simple syrup. Add 1 egg white or 20ml aquafaba, then close your shaker and gently shake to activate the texture. Open the shaker, add plenty of ice, and give it a hard shake. Strain into a rock glass over ice and garnish with a lemon twist.

TIP: Use a potato peeler to peel a long thin strip off your lemon. Roll this lemon twist over the cocktail and watch as the lemon oils from the peel fly over the cocktail.
