In the distillery where it’s made, every part of the bourbon process would take place in a different locked room.

To understand the Blade and Bow story, you need to start with the Stitzel-Weller Distillery, which was founded in 1935 and famed for its bourbons. Blade and Bow was launched in 2015 as a tribute to the craftsmanship and enduring spirit of the distillery. The name Blade and Bow comes from the two parts of a skeleton key – keys are significant, because there were five main doors at Stitzel-Weller, each representing a step of bourbon making. Crafted using the solera aging method, which mingles whiskeys of different ages and then aged at Stitzel-Weller in charred American Oak barrels, Blade and Bow delivers rich layers of apricot, ripe pear, and roasted grain – true Kentucky hospitality in every glass.
