Tips & Suggestions
When picking a whisky, examine the char level of the barrel - a higher char (level 4) whisky can produce toasted, caramelised notes that pair well with complex sweet vermouths.
Instead of relying exclusively on the sweetness of vermouth, add a single, exact drop of high-quality, dark maple syrup for subtle sweetness since it provides depth that complements both whisky and vermouth.

FAQs
Amaro is used in place of sweet vermouth in the making of a black Manhattan. This results in a darker, less sweet and complexly bitter version of the traditional, complete with rich herbal flavours.
