Gimlet
A drink that used to exclusively use gin and lime cordial, the Gimlet has turned into a category of its own now, with bartenders using fresh fruits to create any flavoured cordial to either shake or stir up with gin. Simple yet oh-so-delicious.
What you’ll need
Ingredients
- Tanqueray London Dry Gin
- Lime juice
- Simple syrup
- cucumber or lime for decoration
- Ice
Method
Step 1
Measuring with the jigger, add the gin, lime juice and sugar syrup into an ice-filled shaker.
Step 2
Shake the mixture until the surface of the shaker feels chilled.
Step 3
Use the cocktail strainer to strain the mixture into the coupe glass.
Step 4
Using the knife, cut a strip of lime peel and twist it onto the rim of the glass to garnish.
Fresh for summer: Frozen Gin Gimlet
Try a Frozen Gimlet, perfect to cool down on hot summer days:
INGREDIENTS
50ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin
6 Blueberries
½ Juice from half a lime
6 mint leaves 1 dl Coconut water
1 tsp sugar 1
Lime slice (optional)
Instructions
Start by cutting a lime in half.
Put a generous amount of ice cubes in the blender.
Next, add Tanqueray Gin, cranberries, juice from half a lime, mint leaves, coconut water, sugar and blend until smooth.
Then pour into a chilled tall glass and garnish with a slice of lime for a more elegant look.
Serve and enjoy this refreshing take on the classic Gimlet, perfect for beating the summer heat!
You can also experiment with different varieties of Tanqueray Gin, such as Rangpur, to add unique citrus notes to your frozen Gimlet experience.
