Essentially the "whiskey and cola" cocktail, this variation on the Cuba Libre is an easy-to-make recipe that uses a minimum of ingredients. Featuring a rare blended Scotch whisky, this concoction is ideal for amateur bartenders to experiment with proportions.

  • J&B Rare Blended Scotch Whisky
    Or any whisky of choice
    1.5oz
  • Cola
    5oz
  • Orange wheel
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Step 1

    Add all ingredients to an Ice-filled highball glass.

  2. Step 2

    Stir to combine.

  3. Step 3

    Garnish with an orange wheel before serving.

Tips & Suggestions

  • A spritz of fresh lime juice adds tangy flavour to the cocktail and can also be used to rim the glass to enhance citrus aroma.

  • Whisky, cola and ice can be blended to make a slushy cocktail instead of the traditional liquid version.
