Inspired by the classic Blood and Sand, The Second Act reimagines the cocktail through layers of fruit, spice, and warmth. Built with Johnnie Walker Black Label, cherry liqueur, fresh orange juice, and a homemade red wine reduction, the drink balances richness and freshness while highlighting the whisky’s versatility and smooth smoky character.

What you’ll need

Ingredients

Serves:

  • Johnnie Walker Black Label
    30ml
  • Homemade Red Wine Reduction
    20ml
  • Cherry Liqueur
    20ml
  • Fresh Orange Juice
    20ml

Method

  1. Step 1

    Add all ingredients into a shaker tin with ice.

  2. Step 2

    Shake well until the shaker is frosted.

  3. Step 3

    Fine strain into a super chilled Nick & Nora glass.

  4. Step 4

    Garnish with red wine-poached pear strips on a garnish pin.
