Godawan 02 Fruit and Spice is made using six-row barley, grown in Rajasthan. As the name ‘six-row’ suggests, it has more grain per stalk, giving it a bolder, nuttier flavour than common barley. The region’s desert climate – hot days and cool nights – work a bit of magic, helping the whisky draw deep, complex notes from the oak casks. The candied orange peel and spice notes are a result of cask influence and the shorter, concentrated ageing times. Rajasthan’s mineral-rich water adds another layer, giving Godawan Fruit and Spice its unique character: a single malt shaped by sun, earth and tradition.
