The unmistakable rattle of cocktail shakers, mixed with dance-worthy beats, set the background track at the National Finals of World Class 2026 - the world’s most prestigious bartending competition - that took place on March 28, 2026 in Gurugram. The festival demarcated three areas to honor the theme of, “Sip, Savour and Celebrate” with multiple cocktail stations, exciting bar takeovers and immersive experience zones where festival attendees could get a new perspective on the world of mixology.
At the Don Julio bar, four different cocktails were served, highlighting the flavours of Don Julio Reposado and Don Julio Blanco. The golden amber Don Julio Reposado offers a rich, smooth finish, a mellow, elegant flavor and inviting aroma. Don Julio Blanco, on the other hand, has a crisp agave flavour with hints of citrus. Don Julio Cocktails At World Class 2026
Don Paloma
Made with just three ingredients, Don paloma leans towards a classic cocktail, offering a clean, slightly bitter but straight-grapefruit led flavour. The drink champions the tartness of grapefruit and the crispness of Blanco, keeping it minimal and elegant.
Ingredients:
30 ml Don Julio Blanco
20 ml Grapefruit Cordial
60 ml Grapefruit Soda
Ice cubes
Method:
Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
Pour 30 ml Don Julio Blanco over the ice.
Add 20 ml Grapefruit Cordial and stir lightly.
Top with 60 ml Grapefruit Soda.
Stir gently to combine and serve.
Guava-Rita
Presenting a medley of flavours, the guava-rita is a take on the classic margarita. Fruity and tangy (thanks to the pickled guava soda), the drink has a tart yet sweet twist with the floral notes hibiscus.
Ingredients:
30 ml Don Julio Reposado
15 ml Hibiscus syrup or infusion
60 ml Pickle Guava Soda
10 ml Fresh citrus juice
Togarashi Salt (for rim)
Ice cubes
Method:
Rim a glass with Togarashi Salt by moistening the edge with citrus juice.
Fill a shaker with ice cubes.
Add 30 ml Don Julio Reposado, 15 ml hibiscus, and 10 ml citrus juice.
Shake well until chilled.
Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Top with 60 ml Pickle Guava Soda and serve.
Jamun Picante
With its spicy-sweet profile, picante is a take on the classic Margarita. Jamun picante takes things a step ahead, where jamun adds astringent tartness and peach foam softens it.
Ingredients:
30 ml Don Julio Reposado
20 ml Pickle Jamun Cordial
40 ml Citrus Peach Foam
Ice cubes
Method:
Fill a shaker with ice cubes.
Add 30 ml Don Julio Reposado and 20 ml Pickle Jamun Cordial.
Shake well until chilled.
Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.
Gently layer 40 ml Citrus Peach Foam on top.
Serve immediately

Tropical Agave
As the name suggests, tropical agave has a tropical, sweet, and citrusy flavour. It offers a smooth finish, and highlights the inherent citrusy notes of Blanco.

30 ml Don Julio Blanco
10 ml Agave syrup
40 ml Mixed citrus juice
60 ml Tropical Lemonade
Ice cubes
Method:
Fill a shaker with ice cubes.
Add 30 ml Don Julio Blanco, 10 ml agave syrup, and 40 ml mixed citrus juice.
Shake until well chilled.
Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.
Top with 60 ml Tropical Lemonade.
