1. Rose Lassi Recipe

This is a velvety smooth mocktail that combines the richness of yoghurt with an aromatic floral layers, creating a blend that will give a sweet, creamy texture. Here’s the mocktail recipe for you to try at home: Ingredients (Serves 4) 1 cup plain yoghurt 1 teaspoon rose water 2 tablespoons rose syrup 6–8 dried rose petals 6–8 ice cubes Grated dry fruits (pistachios, almonds, cashews), for garnish

Method Add chilled yoghurt into a blender, followed by ice cubes. 

Add dried rose petals, rose water, and rose syrup into the blender. 

Blend until the mixture is smooth and frothy. 

Pour the lassi into a serving glass and garnish with grated dry fruits and the remaining rose petals before serving.

2. Jaljeera Mocktail Recipe

A tangy tango of spices and mint, this zesty mocktail is a traditional Indian drink. The desi swirl of flavours in this mocktail is an ideal summer drink. Here’s the mocktail recipe for you to try at home: Ingredients (Serves 4) A handful of mint leaves 1 cup coriander leaves 1 small piece of ginger 1 teaspoon dry mango powder 75 ml lemon juice 2 teaspoons roasted cumin seeds ½ teaspoon black peppercorns ½ teaspoon fennel seeds 1 teaspoon rock salt 4 cucumber slices, for garnish 4 mint sprigs, for garnish A handful of boondi, for garnish Ice cubes 500 ml chilled water (plus 125 ml for blending)

Method Grind roasted cumin seeds, fennel, and black peppercorns into a fine mix. 

Combine this with rock salt and dry mango powder to make a spice mixture. 

Add mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger, lemon juice, spice mix, and 125 ml water into a blender. 

Blend until smooth to form the jaljeera mixture. Fill four serving glasses with ice cubes. 

Divide the mixture evenly into the glasses and top up with chilled water to adjust dilution. 

Garnish each glass with a mint sprig, cucumber slice, and boondi before serving.

3. Aam Panna Mocktail Recipe

The rich flavours of raw mango, spices and mint create a nice drink that you have to try at least once. Here’s the mocktail recipe for you to try at home: Ingredients (Serves 4) 1 raw mango 3 tablespoons mint leaves 60 g sugar (¼ cup) ½ teaspoon cardamom powder ½ teaspoon cumin powder ½ teaspoon black pepper powder ½ teaspoon salt 12–16 ice cubes 600 ml chilled water (plus 100 ml for blending)

Method Cook the raw mango in a pressure cooker until soft. 

Once cooled, peel the skin and extract the pulp. 

Place the mango pulp, mint leaves, sugar, and 100 ml water into a blender. 

Blend until a smooth paste is formed. Transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl and add cardamom powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, and salt. 

Whisk well to combine. 

To serve, place ice cubes in four glasses and add a few spoonfuls of the prepared Aam Panna blend. 

Top up each glass with chilled water and stir gently.

4. Shikanji Mocktail Recipe

Here’s the mocktail recipe for you to try at home: Ingredients (Serves 4) Handful of mint leaves 1 tablespoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon black peppercorns ½ teaspoon coriander seeds 1 teaspoon chaat masala 1 teaspoon black salt 1 teaspoon salt 30 ml lime juice 50 g sugar (4 tablespoons) Ice cubes 600 ml chilled water

Method Roast cumin seeds, black peppercorns, and coriander seeds until fragrant. 

Allow to cool, then grind them with black salt, regular salt, and chaat masala into a fine powder. 

This forms the Shikanji spice mixture. In a serving glass, add lime juice and sugar, then stir to combine. 

Add ½ teaspoon of the Shikanji mixture and a few mint leaves. 

Fill the glass with ice cubes and top up with chilled water. 

Stir well and serve immediately.
