3 Easy Mocktail Recipes You Must Try Today

There are a number of ways in which you can make a mocktail. you can either make a virgin drink, such as the virgin mojito and the virgin margarita, or experiment with a free-form mocktail without following a recipe. You just need to be careful with the ratios of the ingredients so that your drinks don’t end up tasting like sweet, fruity juice. Let us dive into some well-known and easy mocktail recipes:

1. Virgin Mojito Mocktail

Two glasses of non-alcoholic mojito with lime slices and mint on a wooden board, surrounded by lime wedges and a citrus reamer on a dark rustic surface.

This classic Cuban drink is a crowd favourite. The perfect virgin mojito mocktail is not too bubbly or sweet and just enough minty and fresh. For the mocktail twist of this classic drink, you just have to omit the alcohol and substitute the syrup with something similar to orgeat, an almond-flavoured syrup that enhances the complexity of a mojito mocktail. Ingredients - 1/2 lime, cut into wedges - 8-10 fresh mint leaves - 1 tablespoon sugar - 1/4 cup club soda - 1/4 cup sparkling water - Ice cubes - Mint sprigs for garnishing Steps - Cocktail Glassware says a lot about bartending. Take a classic glass of your choice and add the mint leaves, lime slices, and sugar. Mix these with a muddler or even the back of a spoon. - Just ensure the juice from the lime slices, and the sugar dissolve properly. - Add ice cubes and fill with club soda and sparkling water in equal parts. - Ice depends on individual requirements, so keep that in mind. - Stir and garnish with mint leaves to add to the aesthetics, and serve.

2. Shirley Temple

A glass of pink non-alcoholic beverage with ice and cherries sits on an orange saucer on a wooden surface.

The Shirley is probably one of the most famous and easy mocktail recipes, worldwide. This beloved mocktail can be served with or without soda, though many experts prefer the version without the soda as it is not overly sweet and syrupy. This results in a very clean flavour and makes for a wonderfully fresh mocktail. You can even add homemade grenadine, a must in your home bar, to skip the artificial flavours, resulting in an even better taste. Ingredients - 1/2 cup ginger ale - 1 tablespoon grenadine - 1 cherry, preferably maraschino - Ice cubes Steps - Fill a glass of your choice with ice cubes.  A tall glass would be a better choice for this drink. - Pour the ginger ale slowly and steadily and add grenadine into the glass. - Stir the mocktail well with a long spoon or something similar. It honestly does not matter as long as it's stirred well. - Garnish with the cherry on top, and serve.

3. Pomegranate Sparkler

A glass filled with ice, pomegranate seeds, two straws, and a pomegranate segment on a black surface. Text states the beverage is non-alcoholic with 0.0% ABV.

The Pomegranate Sparkler is the mocktail of choice for the festive season. Its fresh and fruity profile makes it the perfect holiday mocktail. The harmonious blend of pomegranate, sparkling water, and lime juice gives it a distinct and attractive flavour. Ingredients - 1/2 cup pomegranate juice - 1/4 cup sparkling water - 1/2 lime, juiced - Ice cubes - Lime wedges for garnishing Steps - Select an elegant glass and then pour in the vibrant pomegranate juice, followed by a sparkling infusion of water and zesty lime juice.  - Stir the mixture properly with a long spoon and ensure everything is mixed up properly. - Add ice cubes, depending on the ambient temperature. - Garnish with wedges of lime to add a distinctively cool look, and serve.
