Don Papa Gayuma Rum, 70cl

Don Papa Gayuma is a rum born from the ancient, elemental forces of the Island of Negros, once known as Isla del Fuego ('the Island of Fire’). Crafted from 100% sugarcane molasses sourced from Negros island, Don Papa Gauyma undergoes distillation and aging in the unique volcanic climate surrounding Mount Kanlaon's foothills. Initially aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, it then receives a double barrel finish: first in high toast ex Rioja barrels, then finished in Islay whisky barrels for a distinctive smokey touch.

The resulting dark amber rum boasts a peaty nose, delicate vanilla, hints of light orange peel, deep cacao, and subtle notes of cloves and mint. Its intense smokiness and spicy finish culminate in a well-balanced yet intricately layered liquid.
