So, what is rum?
Rum is a distilled spirit made from fermented sugar or refined sugar base. Its alcohol content can range from 20 percent ABV to 75.5 percent ABV.
Rum can legally be distilled anywhere in the world, but it's generally produced in tropical islands, like Trinidad, Jamaica, Cuba and Guyana. Rum is an incredibly versatile spirit. It's made in more than 80 countries with various blending styles, methods, and ageing techniques.
