Basil Grande Cocktail Recipe

One of a number of great cocktails created by bartender Jamie Wilkinson when at the Living Room bar in Manchester, dating from 2001, this fine long drink blends raspberry liqueur, strawberries and tart cranberry with Ketel One Vodka for a delicious red f

What you’ll need

Ingredients

Serves:

2 units of alcohol per serving

Equipment

  • 1 x Martini glass
  • 1 x Muddler
  • 1 x Jigger
  • 1 x Cocktail Shaker
  • 1 x Strainer

Method

Pour

Press down with a muddler on 4 strawberries and 5 basil leaves to extract the juices and flavour in a cocktail shaker.Using jigger measure 20ml vodka, 20ml raspberry liqueur and 50ml of cranberry juice into the shaker.   

Ice

Add ice cubes.

Mix

Shake the mixture vigorously until the surface of the cocktail shaker feels chilled.  

Garnish

Using a cocktail strainer, strain the mixture into a martini glass.
