The Corpse Reviver is a classic cocktail initially created to cure hangovers, but its chilling name also makes it the perfect drink for grown-ups looking for a classy drink at Halloween night.

  • Tanqueray London Dry Gin
    0.75oz
  • Orange flavored liqueur
    0.75oz
  • Lillet Blanc
    0.75oz
  • Lemon juice
    0.75oz
  • Simple syrup
    0.2oz
  • Absinthe
    2 dashes
  • Lemon peel

Equipment

  • Coupe glass
  • Shaker
  • Strainer
  • Jigger

Method

Step 1

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.

Step 2

Add ice, shake until chilled and strain over a coupe.

Step 3

Garnish with a lemon peel.

Simple Syrup


Ingredients
  • 8 oz. Granulated Sugar

  • 8 oz. Water

Directions
  1. In a medium size pot, heat the sugar and water for 15-20 minutes on a low simmer until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally to prevent caking.

  2. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat.

  3. Pour into a container for storage, and label, date and refrigerate for later use. Good for 3 months. Yields 14 oz. of simple syrup.
