  • Zacapa 23 Rum
    2oz
  • Lime Juice
    0.75oz
  • Sugar Syrup
    0.75oz
  • Soda Water
    2oz
  • Mint Leaves
    10

Method

  1. Step 1

    Muddle the lime juice, mint and sugar syrup in a highball glass.

  2. Step 2

    Add the rum, crushed ice and churn.

  3. Step 3

    Top with soda.

  4. Step 4

    Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wedge.

Simple Syrup


Ingredients
  • 8 oz. Granulated Sugar

  • 8 oz. Water

Directions
  1. In a medium size pot, heat the sugar and water for 15-20 minutes on a low simmer until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally to prevent caking.

  2. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat.

  3. Pour into a container for storage, and label, date and refrigerate for later use. Good for 3 months. Yields 14 oz. of simple syrup.
