Method

The Ciroc Encore cocktail provides a touch of fruity flavours to the palate, highlighting the smoothness of vodka. A brilliant blend of the spirit with rich pomegranate liqueur and bright lemon juice creates a perfectly balanced sweet-tart character - making an ideal tropical drink. Its fresh and vibrant nature makes it suitable for summer evening events or festive parties, providing an elegant beverage option.

What you’ll need

Ingredients

Serves:
1
  • Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka (or any vodka of choice)
    20ml
  • Pomegranate liqueur
    10ml
  • Fresh lemon juice
    15ml
  • Simple syrup
    10ml
  • Lemon twist or a few fresh berries
    For garnish
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Step 1

To chill the martini cocktail glass or coupe glass, place it in the freezer.

  2. Step 2

In a cocktail shaker, blend the vodka, pomegranate liqueur, lemon juice and simple syrup; fill it with ice cubes.

  3. Step 3

Secure the top and rapidly shake for 15-20 seconds, or until the surface is well-frosted and the mixture is completely cooled.

  4. Step 4

Fine-strain the drink into the glass, garnish with a lemon twist or some fresh berries and serve immediately.

Tips & Suggestions

  • Consider using a rich simple syrup (2 parts sugar to 1 part water) instead of the customary (1:1) for a more opulent mouthfeel that matches the smoothness of the vodka, adjusting the quantity as necessary.

  • To enhance the perfumed aspect, lightly ‘flame’ the lemon twist garnish over the completed drink, caramelising the oils to create a smoky citrus essence.

FAQs

Flavoured vodkas go well with basic mixers that enhance their flavour without dominating them. Tonic water, lemon-lime soda and fresh fruit juices such as cranberry, pineapple or grapefruit are all viable options.

Pomegranate juice blended with a touch of simple syrup and vodka makes a good alcoholic substitution, as does grenadine for a non-alcoholic, sweet-tart alternative.

Garnishes make vodka cocktails more varied. Citrus twists (lemon, lime, orange), fresh berries, cucumber slices, mint sprigs or even olives enhance savoury flavours to complement the spirit’s clear character.
