Rosenblum Cellars Appellation Series Zinfandel, North Coast 2006

Each vineyard and varietal for this Appellation Series wine was harvested separately and fermented in individual lots using small stainless steel tanks. After barrel aging in 60 gallon French and American oak, the lots were combined and returned to barrel for an additional six months of aging prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes

This is a very dark, rich and fruit-driven wine that reflects the structure and character of the cool climate vineyards used to craft this distinctive North Coast blend. The wine shows flavors of blackberry, currant, ripe raspberry spice and elements of vanilla and mint.

Food Pairings

This wine loves to be paired with flavorful fare such as hickory smoked baby back ribs, blackened salmon, or soy grilled lamb chops.
