Edna Valley Vineyard Paragon Pinot Noir, San Luis Obispo County

Edna Valley wines are aged mainly in French oak barrels selected for their complementary qualities. In short, they use an artisan's approach to New World winemaking.

They focus on estate-grown Chardonnay and we have a strong commitment to producing Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon using new varietal clones.

Tasting Notes

Fragrant, floral and redolent with black-cherry fruit, the 2007 Pinot Noir exhibits the delicacy and allure of this captivating varietal. Hints of rose petal, caramel and forest floor weave through the jammy fruit core. The mid-palate is pleasant and smooth with fine tannins. Subtle cola and perfume nuances alight the finish for lingering enjoyment of this pretty red wine.

Food Pairings

Enjoy with gamey flavors such as duck, venison or wild mushroom pasta.
