In 1830’s Kentucky, tavern keeper Augustus Bulleit experimented to create his ideal bourbon. He mysteriously vanished while transporting barrels, but his great-great-grandson Tom Bulleit has since revived the legacy. Starting from Augustus’s recipe, Tom used a high rye content for a drier, spicier alternative to other bourbons. In 2011, Tom introduced a 95% Rye at the many requests from bartenders.
